Royal Bank of Scotland seeks partnership with Peer-To-Peer

The state-backed bank has formed a partnership with Funding Circle and Assetz Capital that will see RBS refer some smaller businesses that it cannot finance to the platforms. 

Peer-to-peer lending emerged in the UK 10 years ago but has expanded after the crisis left hundreds of businesses without access to finance as banks scaled back their lending.
